Don’t we all love getting to the salon/spa? Not just to offer our skin some attention, but also because it is a much-needed break! And who doesn’t sort of a little pampering once during a while?
But with all the festivities round the corner, we don’t always find the time to go to the sweetness parlor though. How is one alleged to look glowing once you haven’t any time for elaborate facial treatments? Worry not! You’re in safe hands. We bring back you a super-easy 4-step mini-facial that you simply can neutralize in just 25- minutes within the comfort of your home. We promise, this festive season, you’ll glow! Let’s jump straight into it, shall we? We share some of the tips and a 4 step skincare that will give you glowing skin.
What you need: Cleanser/Face wash, Scrub, Moisturizing Day Cream, Face Mask
Also: Hair band, Cotton pads, soft towel, 2 slices of cucumber and most significantly 25 minutes of ME time.
Begin with docking your hair – Pull it back and secure it with pins/ hair band. Wear a band, or tie a scarf to hide hair tips. Also remember to scrub your hands well before you begin .
Step 1- Cleansing: Gently cleanse your face with a cleansing lotion to get rid of topical (top layer) dirt and dirt . just in case you don’t have a cleansing lotion, you’ll use a light face wash. Don’t over-rub your face during this step. Pat your face dry. If you haven’t, already, inspect our 2-minute tutorial on getting the right cleanse.
Step 2- Exfoliation: Remove a touch face scrub (not body scrub) in your palm, and begin applying it on a little section of your face like chin or forehead. Move fingers upward- outward during a circular motion. you’ll start with the forehead, then move to the chin then cheeks. Continue this for 3-4 minutes. If the scrub feels dried out or hard, use a touch of water to moisten it. Never rub harshly.
Now wash your face with running water and pat it dry with a soft towel.
Step 3- Moisturising: Remove a touch massage cream in a small bowl. Using the 5-dot method, spread the cream everywhere your face. Now take some more cream and begin massaging your face. you ought to always massage gently and within the upward direction. you’ll start with the neck, then move towards your lip-chin area. Proceed to your nose and cheek then to the ear area. Be extra gentle near the eyes. Finally massage your forehead. If you’ve got oily skin, use a moisturizer specially designed for greasy skin or choose a gel.
Plum Tip: Try warming your hands by rubbing them together before you begin massaging. It’ll make the massaging process easy & effective.
After the massage, take an opportunity for a couple of minutes. Keep your eyes closed and permit the cream to sink in.
Now, wipe off any extra cream with a moistened cotton pad. do that twice since your skin should be clean for subsequent step – mask application. There should be no film of cream on the face.
Plum Tip: If there’s extra cream left within the bowl, it’s not an excellent idea to place it back in the tube/jar. Instead, moisturize your arms or feet with it.
Step 4- Mask: Take a little amount on your palm and begin applying the mask on your face using your moistened index, middle and ring fingers. Alternatively, you’ll also use a hair-mask brush for application. Start applying a mask from your neck and move upwards.
Apply everywhere on your face. Avoid the world near your eyes and lips. Apply a rather thicker layer on your forehead and on your chin. Now place a few cucumber slices on your eyes and sit back and permit it to dry. After 15-20 mins, wash with running water. Splash water generously. Pat your face dry with a towel.
TA-DAA! you only got yourself beautiful, glowing skin!
Plum Tip: Follow this up with a sunscreen (if the sun remains up) or moisturiser to stay your skin hydrated & glowing.
